I keep coming back to this style concept in my mind, “pin-up grunge”. It is supposed to, ideally, be a cross between fabrics Kurt Cobain would wear with shapes that Dita Von Teese would wear. I don’t think I’ve really pulled it off yet, but I have been trying to keep the idea of a waist in mind when I put on my butchy clothes. I wore this out later for Hayley’s birthday, but the photos are from running to the store for cupcake supplies. (I also wanted to test out my new camera under different conditions.)

Yay, I like it a lot! I’ve been trying to find some good earrings to wear that look good with my shaved head now. I love these ones you made!
I need to make more! I am trying to make jewelry to sell now.. but I keep getting sidetracked making things for myself…
Oh, brilliant!! I love your blog!!
And I love your earrings.
Shirt reminds me of a skirt I had with the same grungy pattern, got it from the kids section. I love combining rough stuff with extremely feminine things: female silhouettes with masculine clothes, or the other way round.
Hmm. I think I’ll wear my lace dress with bonky army style boots and an oversized cardigan today?
I often wish I had a girly dress to wear with my boots but always forget to buy girly things.. I get too excited about the grungey things I guess so its hard to find the soft things in my wardrobe to balance it with.
