Spycam: St. Patty’s Greenville Ave. – Street Style Edition

on

I seem to be having some difficulty with my life style.*

That’s not actually totally true, I reserve that quote for, well, circumstances other than these. But I have been having some trouble getting my blog posts up in a timely fashion. That seems to happen when I’ve actually got an abundance of things to post about. At any rate, I spycammed the hell out of Dallas’ St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Greenville Avenue this year. I have so many useable shots this year that I’ll be breaking it up. This post will be the more fashion-centric shots.

To start things off and to show that I’ll go myself where I put others, here’s my own St. Patty’s parade look:

This is before the sun burn.

I went a little more fashionable than usual.. usually its just a green tee shirt that advertises some brand of alcohol or a tee shirt that I drew something on. The camera isn’t held there to be cute, that’s just the best way to balance it.. but I think it did save the bottom of that arm from getting sunburned. A bandanna tied over my tattoo saved the top of that arm. The other arm was fried to a crisp.

And now for the pictures you really came for.

Backpacks and backpacks as purses are definitely back. I even have one. I'm usually not so happy about a trend.. but its so '90s. :)

Knit hat, glasses, and bead earrings. Incidentally, this girl or her friend may have spycammed me later, but I'm not sure.

Here's something you don't see constantly in real life - the paper bag waist. I think designers like the idea of them, but real people seem to be intimidated by them.

And finally.. just vote for vodka. (.. I actually voted for whiskey, but lets leave politics out of this.)

In other news, the random tutu was still present this year, but I’m happy to report that it was less prevalent.

* Hitchhiker’s Guide reference. I’m only saying this because if you don’t get it, you should read it.
